Wow

Black and white printing where have you been all my life? I'm taking a beginning photo class at Valley College and part of the class is developing and enlarging your own prints. Holy shit, this is so awesome. This brings my love for creativity to a whole nuva level. Last semester it was shooting a commercial on film, this semester its shooting and printing B&W film. Oh my God, its so beautiful. No wonder there are so many people who avoid digital. Being in there, smelling the chemicals, touching your prints, adjusting the contrast, dodging, burning... its glorious. I wish I had a way to post my print up. I'll try to take a good picture of it tomorrow in the sunlight. Hooray for film!

Mel: no I haven't. We're not allowed to do fiber. Its an RC only program. I've got to put some prints up here. Will soon.

Do you get access to the dark room outside of class time?
